BIPOC Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is a special and critical space for healing connection and safety for BIPOC attendees, crew and performers. Invitation and call for BIPOC sisters and siblings – come experience the sanctuary, attend a workshop or gathering and join The Collective as we build the space together. The PATIO+ Learning Space
The Patio+ Learning Space is the Fern Fest nerve center for transformative justice and harm reduction, fostering meaningful conversations about dismantling systemic oppression, particularly focusing on topics such as: white privilege and white supremacy, modern forms of violent patriarchy, and how to stay connected with each other even when harm happens.
COMMUNITY TENT
The Community Activity Tent downtown is a centralized hub for festival communication and activities as well as a space to make connections. In addition to schedule information, you can also check out the “Meet-Ups and Connections” board where individuals can post impromptu activities opportunities and/or unofficial workshop and discussion offerings.
FERN FEST STORE
The Fern Fest Store offers a variety of items including official Fern Fest Merch, Artist Merch, snacks, cold beverages and camping provisions like batteries, toothpaste and most anything you may have forgotten to pack. Bagged Ice also sold here!
Craft vendors
The crafts area features a collection of artisans and professionals offering handmade items and quality services (i.e. massage, readings etc.). Providing a range of price points and representation of the diverse community attending the festival, you’ll be sure to find something special.
Community Kitchen & Dining Tent
The Community Kitchen is a shared space for attendees to prepare their own food with tables, a sink and other basic cooking equipment. Fern Fest stocks the community kitchen with FREE COFFEE!
You can enjoy your meals or just connect with others in The Dining Tent located next door. The pre-purchased dinner meal plans are served in dining tent, Tuesday-Saturday 5pm-6:30pm.
Food vendors
Not interested in cooking? Convenient to the crafts area and community kitchen, you’ll find food trucks offering a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
Workshops
Each year the Fern Fest community offers workshops that inspire learning, creativity and connection. From personal reflection and story telling, crafting and the creative arts, engaging discussion and more, there is something for everyone.
Kids activities
Fern Fest provides a space for kids to connect and explore the festival experience. Whether it’s through daytime performances and activities or workshops facilitated by parents and caregivers, there are many ways to spark creativity and have fun.
*Please note that there is no childcare available and all children must be accompanied by an adult parent/caregiver. Fern Fest includes performances, workshops and spaces that may not be appropriate for all ages.
Early Risers
Wake up early and greet the sun while enjoying a relaxing cello sound bath or join an inspired yoga class to connect the mind and body as you start your day.
Night owls
Don’t want to end the fun? Gather each evening under the summer night sky at the community fire pit, jump into the DJ dance and end your night at a party in the loud and rowdy zone. Parties and late night spaces are hosted and sponsored by the Twilight Zone and the Lavender Lounge.
